About the Surgeon

Dr Manish Samson

Graduated from Government Medical College Miraj, Maharashtra, India in the year 1991. He went on to do Diploma in Orthopaedics under guidance of Dr D. J. Arwade at Sangli, Maharashtra in the year 1995. His interest and passion for Orthopaedics made him get Masters in Orthopaedics (MS Ortho) under able guidance of Professor Dr G. S. Kulkarni and Dr Rajeev Arora in the year 1998.

Dr Manish Samson developed special liking towards the Russian technique of Ring Fixaters – “Illizarov Ring Fixaters”, and Joint Replacement Surgeries. He went abroad to get additional Masters Degree M Ch in Orthopaedics from University of Dundee, Scotland UK in the year 2001 under guidance from Professor Dr David Rowley.

Dr Manish Samson here decided that Orthopaedic Surgery being a vast subject he should specialize in one sub specialty and started concentrating on Adult Joint Reconstruction. Dr Manish Samson had a Fellowship Training at Post Graduate Medical Centre of Singapore General Hospital, Singapore in the year 2002 under guidance of Dr Yeo Seng Jen, Dr Lo Ngai Nung and Dr Amit Mitra. Dr Manish Samson during his Fellowship training did various research projects on Deep vein Thrombosis following Joint Replacement Surgery and Computer Navigated Surgeries.

In 2007 he visited St Vincent’s Medical Centre, Melbourne Australia for higher training in Computer Navigated Hip and knee Surgeries along with Surface Replacement Surgeries.

Currently Dr Manish Samson is working as a Senior Consultant Orthopaedic and Joint Replacement Surgeon at HOSMAT Superspeciality Hospital, Bangalore, India.
